FOOTBRIDGE AT AVEIRO, PORTUGAL

Competition winning design of a new footbridge connecting Rossio and Alboi across the Canal Central at Aveiro, Portugal, (competition result announced 22nd January 2010).

The footbridge forms part of the development of a "sustainability park" within the city of Aveiro and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) - "Operacional Programme MAISCENTRO".  The construction of the new footbridge is intended for completion by March 2011.
